Looking Back

It's funny how we would settle for less. Like if we don't know what's best for us. We think that the nominal recognition of our talents and efforts is worth the soul-crushing despondency of modern life. I had to go through a slight reinvention to get to where I am. I had to uproot, step towards the unknown. I am so glad I did. Today, I can look back at the past three months at a job in one of the blue-chip companies in my industry, sorrounded by high-echieving yet emotionally inteligent people, that know that if I win, they win. The ironic thing is that I gladly would've taken that 25% I wrote about earlier this year. I would have relished it. I would have celebrated. A friend told me "You are just finding out what you're worth". I can't wait to find out what else I'm worth.
